First, They will rarely jump teeth, just the chain stretches. Second, its not a continuous monitor. Takes 2 drive cycles and if the timing is right at the threshhold of the code trip parameters then it would make sense to take an hour or two.
oh i see I though the sensor was been monitored at all times. That makes sense now.
yeah thats my next step to remove the chain cover and look into it, the only thing that I keep thinking about is that IF it had jumped a tooth the code would have been set AS SOON as I turn the engine on but thats not the case it will turn on the SES light after maybe 1-2 hrs of driving.
but I guess I really have NO other choice but to look in there.
Oh I see. You aren’t with a dealership. If you work for a dealership and have a car that is especially tricky to diagnose, you call the manufacturer’s engineers for assistance, often referred to as “Tech Hotline.”
yeah I don’t have the luxury …
what guys?
the forum?nope. Just started working on it today because of bad weather here. does anybody have a diagram of the ignition system?
or what tells the computer to turn on the fuel pump relay?bump. still working on this truck
thanks ill look into that
I need some advise guys!
Ive been at this for a while and there is just a couple of more things to check but any advice would be great. Its a 08 nissan Titan with a NO fuel issue.
Fuel pump was replaced st the dealer from a recall
Ive checked the fuse box AND pcm relay since they are a common thing to go out on this vehicle.
im not getting a signal from the computer to the fuse box to tell it to turn on the fuel pump, I can back probe the cable that goes from the computer to the fuse box and it will turn on the fuel pump. After seen this my first though was maybe a bad key/chip but I have no theft codes or theft light on the dash wen i turn the key to the ON possitionFrom here im going to check all the grounds and positives from the computer.
Any other suggestions or ideas?I thought the same thing when I got my 91 Taurus SHO with a 3.0 24v on it, also the old contour SVT from the 90’s were a pain in the butt to work on.

My advice is give cheap but fair prices, also there isn’t better advertisement then word of mouth. So just make sure you take your time and do it right.
I run my shop by a simple philosophy I rather have a small stream of water coming in (money) then one BIG chunk of water and then nothing after that.
