Wow nice to hear that. However, im still trying to gather some solid evidence as to whether it really provides an increase in HP/Torque. Theoretically, the science and explanation behind coating the engine makes sense. But practically?
Isnt the Expansion and compression process so fast that the opportunities for significant heat transfer is minimal? I suppose over time, heat will be lost.
Daniel – I am not sure about the thermal part. But I suppose the lightweight aluminum helps with the reciprocating mechanism.
Thanks for the reply. I suppose heat lost to the coolant happens when heat is transfered to the cylinder head, cylinder walls and down the piston?
Hey Daniel,
Yup the lubricating layer is to reduce friction , again saving heat. Yea I have see that website before. There are many other well renowned companies like swain tech also. My concern here is whether it really provides extra horsepower. Theoretically seeing, yes we can agree that it would increase the HP. Hope to get a first hand response from someone who tried it. I’m also wondering if the cylinder walls would overheat instead.
Thanks
ShivMy apologies for not mentioning, Talking about race cars here. Have u heard of anyone trying it BigDanIL279?
Any heat lost is wasted heat, if you reflect heat back into the chamber it aids combustion, higher temp means higher pressure leading to increased torque. Less heat lost means it also increases thermal efficiency. All these are theorectical. I really want to know with concrete evidence that this works practically.
