Actually I learned quite a bit about those Honda carburetors from a former boss of mine. You could say I cut my teeth on them. That said, it’s been years since I’ve worked on one. For the purposes of video I think that an old quadrajet would work better. We can work our way up to the keihin’s that were on those Hondas after the basics are covered.
Eric, I have a couple Rochester’s here, one is a feedback Carb, I’m not sure how much shipping would be from Canada, but I’d need them back, you won’t need to put a kit in either one, I can do those carbs blind.
Hi Eric How Are You???? I Got Interesting Question For You?? I Have 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee And Every Time I’m out of Gasoline My Transmission Wont Shift out off First Gear and Soon As I Put Some Gasoline In It Its Fine. Well I Got CEL On And Its For Small Vacuum Leak, I Just Dont Know If This Is Something To Do With It???
Thanks In Advance
simple spelling mistake. I fixed it, unfortunately, I have no idea what the issue could be. is it possible you have low tire?
aside from that, what college said, what codes does it give you. also in park, how does it run, low and with more fuel? possibly when low, the pump is sucking alot of air, thus limiting your rpm’s. far shot, but need more info
very basic but still floats around today.
oil needs to be changed every 3 months even if it doesn’t have 3k miles of wear.
oil is millions of years old. It sits in a plastic bottle for who knows how long. Sometimes in 55 gallon drums for months and months or longer. Yet once it gets in an engine its only good for 3 months?
the most well known and practiced myth to date
engine oil, once in an engine, is repeatedly put through severe thermal stress, therefore, breaks down.

if the vehicle has a speed cable. probly a good idea to lube it up using graphite, if its really gummed up, it will need to be removed, cleaned and relubed with dry graphite.

once rust starts, its near impossible to stop, you have to eliminate the rusty metal altogether. just like twiggy said, it lasted 18 years, it lived a good life.

you mention holding the pedal down just enough to maintain speed. how is it at idle? either way, probly best to check fuel pressure, make sure all cylinders are getting good spark. others will probly add to this. its past my bedtime. lol

what type of vehicle? did you use a clutch alignment tool? either way, yer gonna have to drop the tranny to see what’s up, obviously, not releasing.
