I’m surprised it even starts to begin with. that a side. check the basics, pay close attention to vacuum leaks
I wouldn’t worry about the ignition side until you have a turning engine. sounds like a starter, or dirty connections not allowing the amperage to flow to the starter

get the battery and charging system checked

my guess is your tranny is worn out. as it heats up, the expanding parts will help to seal any pressure loss. again. its a guess

I would check all connections. also see if the engine will spin by hand using a socket on the crank, to see if the engine is free to turn

I’m thinking you will be be fine
I just got as a gift from my father this truck that was my Grandpas I’m working on.The oil pressure guage was not working so I got it fixed and on recomendation I am running 10w-40 oil through it.The oil pressure is over 80psi when cold and around 60 when hot.Is this pressure too much when it’s cold. What weight would you recommend please. That engine is a 352 V-8. Thanks, Vincent
what does work, but do it slowly. have the window down of course. pull the door open by the top corner then give it a swift shove. it doesn’t take much

bubbles could be rust underneith, or it was contaminated before last paint job.. to avoid that again, the old paint has to be taken down past that point, and possiblyann the paint, and the metal/plastic/fibreglass, cleaned and etched before redoing. cracks can be caused by old paint. and/or flex additive not added to the paint last time it was painted.
