Don’t take it to the dealer. Sometimes these monitors can be a real PITA. Keep driving, look on line for the drive cycle associated with your vehicle, and try to complete it. Bottom line keep driving until it sets. I got my to set by letting the car idle for 30 minutes then drove to work. Just luck I think. Also check for any engine codes.
David,
Some of the things you mentioned would trigger a check engine light ,correct? Like a faulty O-2 heater for example, or even faulty wiring. I do not have a CEL. Yesterday I disconnected the battery (a computer reboot) overnight. There is no way to complete the drive cycle where I live. So I’ll start the weekend 2 hours again to see what happens. Can the O-2 heater “circuit” be tested with a quality scanner. I want to make sure there is no electrical issue. Again no CEL present.
Whatever your vehicle calls for is always best.
OK boys how about Orange County, I’m getting despirit.
Ok
How about all of San Diego CountyI can barely understand your post. If you want help from the guys here state your problem and ask your question in a clear and concise manner. I don’t even know what the heck your asking.
The no power issue is related to an aftermarket security system installed by the previous owner
The Security System also crossed my mind. Anyone know how to trouble shoot or disconnect the system totally?
FINAL:
5 days and the blue devil has held up very well. I understand that this stuff is a crap shoot but so far so good. Dam I’m happy.November 30, 2016 at 6:39 am in reply to: I’m Totally Stumped and Frustrated – Coolant Issue #872856First off I would like to thank everyone who posted for their sincere willing to help. Apparently the Bluedevil is currently holding sted fast and some how there is no leak from the water pump. Next steps are to drain system install coolant and thermostat.

November 29, 2016 at 12:29 am in reply to: I’m Totally Stumped and Frustrated – Coolant Issue #872800Today I flushed the cooling system in preparation for Bluedevil head gasket sealer. I will report results but I’m guessing less than50/50 chance.
Great info thanks
Should I spend the $45.00 on new head bolts. Is the reason you change them because they are susceptible to breaking?
The thermostat comes out today. -
