well if you all want to see pictures i’ll post them =) however i am kind of camera shy so ill probly have the camera hung where you see just the engine lol and the in response to yard dog, i have the 307, also only have 1 oxygen sensor (which is next to the block, if ya have this engine don’t try to change that sensor when hot lol learned that the hard way)

thanks guys i’m just about melting in my shoes here from how nice everyone is, this is going to become my home page =)

stay dirty everyone and keep the advice coming i’ll need all i can get and so will everyone else.

my plan is to give my car a good carb and have it run like it is supposed to either that or switch from carb to fuel injection if it is possible

                    Quoted From 671tamuning:

whats up sarah, if your a craftsman club member they send you an email letting you know of some exclusive club member deals.

There’s one coming up in 2 weeks, They do a sale for a week. then you gotta wait again for another sale.

Sometimes, I’ll see a 3 ton floor jack for $60 on sale regularly $80.

Personally my floor jack I purchased from Sam’s club for $70 its a Torin Big Red 3.5 ton. Totally decent without breaking the bank. NO problems with it, I recommend it.

Don’t ask me how high it can lift cause I never measured the highest point.

I have an older 2.5 ton from walmart that i still use, i’ve abused that quite a bit and still works great.

                    hope that helps…

it’s perfect but i don’t know how to become a member because the toolbox was a gift lol

my question is do i have to be a certified mechanic to buy from them? because i hear amazing reviews about snap-on tools across the board (i work at advanced auto parts so i get the mechanic feedback on them very frequently)

                          Quoted From Sparkz:

There has been many, but this is the worst:

MB 310 diesel – Someone else had done a cylinder head job recently and forgotten to tighten the bolt for the camshaft sprocket. I replaced a few bent valves, timing chain, sprockets and so on, all while muttering over that useless idiot who had left a bolt lose like that.
Got it all together, took it for a test drive, but didn’t get very far. The crankshaft pulley wasn’t tightened, bent valves AGAIN…W-|

ouch. well your best bet would be to explore every aspect (at least that’s what i do because i have a fear of making mistakes)

                              Quoted From Beefy:

I actually took a high performance induction system class, and my instructor (a huge GM fan) swore by the Quadrajet. They are a pain to tune right, but if they ARE tuned right, they are pretty beastly, as he proved to us on the engine dyno and chassis dyno we were lucky enough to have at my school. The downside to your year vehicle would be that the carb’s metering is computer controlled for emissions reasons. Metering is basically how much fuel is allowed to flow. If I remember right, you can bypass this with an older Q-jet, or I think there is a way to bypass the metering solenoid. If you live somewhere that has emissions testing, this may not be a good idea, but in Ohio, when we had emissions testing, cars more than 25 years old weren’t required to be tested. I would make sure you are allowed to modify your vehicle in such a way based on where you live before you tackle this project.

well it doesn’t need emissions testing in my state because it is over 20 years old. I am going to replace it because it is falling apart and i have always wanted to put a good aftermarket carb in it. I may sound weird but this car has gotten me through the pits of hell and back, so i think owe it very nice new carburetor that isn’t falling apart and always making the cabin smell like gasoline. (god i love that smell but i know its incredibly harmful lol).

well im going to be swapping out the carb i have with either a holley or edelbrock carb and i heard from the grapevine you have to adjust the timing to it or it’ll sound like crap, any ideas?
