So I didn’t take pictures like i was suppose to so I’d have something to reference to if i forgot. And I forgot.

This is where I’m at…
Just got the new alternator on and the bottom long bolt. I have a nut that is shaped square and has flat metal that extends out less than an inch and then folds over partially. Where does that go? that’s my first question.

Second question….
the bracket that is on the back upper back that originally had two bolts attached to it. new alt only has one hole. what was the other thing that was bolted. i know one was just like a ground wire. And how do I pull this one off…Can I just attached it by the single hole or do both have to be in contact with the alt? :unsure:

i know that one is cracked. i already purchased one for the quest, that’s fine than?

what about the other belts, can you tell from the pics they are bad? and my original question..is it something that i should do now because it would be the easist time?

I know what the problem was. My pictures are too large. I resized that one and it went through. Then tried to upload one with original size and i got the “fatal error” again

the bottom? like underneath what i’m typing or literally under my post?
Under the post it says attachment, i added the file, then click insert and it just puts something in brackets like attachment and the file name and that is in my post under what i’ve typed.

i just tried again and it says fatal error contact the site owner

3.wires i spoke about coming from fuse box. it’s the 2 thin ones to our left
4.batteru with cables

I thought I saw 3 but the guy at autozone said i have 2 (EVEN WHILE LOOKING AT IT). I’m going to head out there right now, I’ll post in the next hour photos.

Does this look right?
What is the other belt called that is right next to it? Is it something that is easier to do while I’m doing the alternator belt?
