Here is an ETCG video that explains what a good vacuum reading should be.

It appears that your voltage regulator isn’t working properly which may mean you need to replace your alternator again if the voltage regulator is inside the alternator. I would do it sooner than later to avoid any issues. I would replace your battery too if it leaked a bunch of acid. While you have it all apart I would sand the mounting points of the alternator to make sure it is getting a good ground as well as the battery connections with a wire brush.

You can take it to AutoZone and they can test your battery and alternator for free so you know for sure that you need to replace one or both.

I did some research on this topic. Everything I found online leads to oil pressure. What I found was that a bunch of people are having the same problem and most have thrown parts at it with no success. The only people that had success was by changing their oil or they had an obstruction that caused an oil flow issue.

I would change the oil even if you have already done so recently. It’s possible the tech put the wrong viscosity oil which is thicker than required reducing it’s ability to flow through all the tiny holes at high RPM. Make sure you check the manual for what is recommended for you vehicle.

Changing the oil seams to me to be the cheapest fix especially with no Check Engine Light.

With that said there still may be a code but the light is not functioning.

Good videos. I especially liked the tire change video. The tip about using the jack to help loosen the lugs was awesome. Oh, and the banjo music in there was hilarious. 🙂

I was also thinking that not all tools are in the form of wrenches and screw drivers. Maybe impart some knowledge of do’s and don’ts for example if you run out of gas don’t keep trying to start the vehicle to keep from damaging the fuel pump. Make sure you know how to change a flat or that your wife knows how to change a flat and where the tools are and how they work. Some spare tires are really hard to get out from under the car. Some of this stuff may be basic for your viewers since most have a pretty high skill set but I’m sure you will think of some better examples.

You might consider a pressure check on the system. With all the work you did it’s possible there could be a leak when the system is under pressure which could be letting air back into the system. I good indicator is if you hear a noise behind the dash that sounds like a water fall which could indicate air in the heater core.

Then I would bleed the system again with a spill free funnel to make sure all the air is out of the system.
