I tried to put it in neutral and it still didn’t crank right over, but I did notice that when it would do that if I held the switch in the in the starting position for at least 5 seconds after it would partial start, it would crank right up.

Yes. It has 210k miles. I drove it all day today and it didn’t give me a starting problem yet. Tomorrow I will drive it all day again to see what happens
Next time the issue happens. Put the truck in neutral and see if
      it starts.
I sure will. I’ve been driving it all day with no starting problems. Tomorrow I will try again to see if it does it or not.

I don’t have a meter, guess I need to get one and try that. Thanks
Hey Ronnie. I think you need to get your meter out. Look for 12v at the “s” terminal on the solenoid while the key is in the crank position. If you don’t have voltage you can suspect the ignition switch.
If you do, check for 12v at the starter with the key in the crank position.
At least the problem is fairly predictable. You should be able to trace it with a meter.
No this security system came on the truck when I got it.

Battery terminals are clean and tight, they are new I even got the corrosion lube to keep it that way.

I will check on maybe that loose ground some where. But what I’m not understanding is that it sounds like it wants to start but it doesn’t turn enough over sometimes. If It was the ignition it would seem that I wouldn’t be getting anything to the starter at all, but in fact, it does turn the motor, but not fully sometimes. And other times it just cranks right up.
Couple of questions…

Do you have an aftermarket security system on this vehicle?

Are the Battery terminals clean and tight?

After all you have replaced, I would inspect for a loose ground somewhere and start looking closely at the ignition switch..
