Hi,
Yeah, I thought about that. The original post was about getting the rotors separated, and that worked fine. I thought that getting the bearing out was a different enough idea that I wanted to separate it from the rotor discussion. But, if you prefer, I’d be happy to copy this thread there and get rid of this one.
Thanks again for all the help. The videos are super, especially when the instructions in things like the Chilton book, I think it was, shows some of these parts just magically coming free. 🙂 ..
The adventure continues……

Ok, after watching the video again, I think I know what I screwed up. I removed the bolts in the hub before I started doing the “long bolt” trick, so without those there, it probably didn’t drag the bearing out along with everything else. I suppose what I’ll need to do is partially reassemble it, ie, put those hub bolts back in, and then do the long bolt trick again.
Does that make any sense?
Thanks again.
Ron
PS is there a way to post pictures? This would be easier if I could show what’s going on.
Thanks, Big C, I’ll take a look at that also.

Just an update. I finally went out and bought myself an air wrench, since I already had a small compressor from some woodworking and carpentry I do once in awhile. Popped those hub nuts right off. Now, I’m reviewing Eric’s videos to figure out how to do the rest of the project, ie, change out the rotors, bearings, and drive axles.
thanks again for all of the advice.

Thanks, guys. Really appreciate the suggestions. I’ll be working on it again for awhile tomorrow and I’ll let you know how it goes.
