Great to see people convert brakes as it’s really important π
You have two choices, Above route or get new hubs from another car that got disc brakes from factory π
Either is as easy as the other with RWD if you ask me, fwd go conversion πGreat to see people convert brakes as it’s really important π

It was started 5 times at 10 seconds each prior to this, massive vacuum leaks and such, but hey it runs! banana:

Gonna do ignition and all the adjustments soon, then get a turbo and put it on π
Also Power steering cooler from a Dodge ram will come on.January 16, 2014 at 5:26 pm in reply to: My Euro 200SX/240SX Rebuild/upgrade project – Daily with performance SR20DET #569086Bit Late but here’s a video of the first minutes after rebuild.

just a PITA tbh..
Anyways, the engine is in!!!
we forgot the clutch spacer disc between the gbox and engine block, but we’ll test start it and see if it works at all.
If yes, just take the gbox off and then install the disc, clean up wires and everything else πI’ll come with a update tomorrow hopefully on the startup π

January 6, 2014 at 9:14 pm in reply to: My Euro 200SX/240SX Rebuild/upgrade project – Daily with performance SR20DET #567018Wow, a Month since last update, Better give some updates then.
Gotten on some camber plates, Tein Pillow ball ones for my KW’s.
The guys I bought the coilovers from had used incorrect nuts, so the threads were Messed up!!!
So we had to repair them, but thankfully it worked nicely!
We went from M12x1,25 to M12x1,75 and that worked like a charm! We had issues holding the strut, so we “deformed” the strut at the top cause we had to hold it, it’s even all around like a circle, and it won’t compress that far so it’s no issue…
But guys, remember, correct threads, put the bolt in straight.
If it’s rusty and your unsure, just clean the damn thing π
No matter how good of a mech you are, threads are gonna mess you up πBut anyways!, this is the end result.
I’ve also managed to get a brake caliper on the right side of the car.
Just had to buy some M14x1,5 bolts, use a 14mm bore drill bit.
drill the knuckle so a M14 bolt would fit, the stock are M12x1,25.
cut the brake shield, bend it a bit and install. And this is the result π
I also installed braided lines from Apex Performance.
And with the rim, doesn’t fill all too well, but far better than the stock ones.
And the engine is very much ready for install, just got very minor things like:
Sort out threads for water inlet for turbo on the block.
and connect all the water hoses.

December 4, 2013 at 2:27 am in reply to: My Euro 200SX/240SX Rebuild/upgrade project – Daily with performance SR20DET #560616Engine compartment required some work, some welding is done and now I’m trying to sort out the finish for the paint.
Paint type and clearcoat.
Must be a heavy duty, and AMCAR paint seems rather nice with a clear coat ontop, It’ll shine more with some more layers of clear.Frontend received proper sanding, angle grinder with a flappy disk.
You can see to the left in the reflections (bad pic but still eligible) that there have rusted a bit there… but It’s all common, so no worry;)Also got another small project, a E46 320 that I made a thread for too, It’s rather sensible so for you guys not wanting mad mods, full suspension upgrade and engine rebuilds can look at that too π

Don’t supercharge nor turbocharge it if you buy one off the shelf.
even my 2 Litre i6 320 is pushing 220 newtonmeters of torque in a high mpg format, more cylinders = more torque!you cannot find off the shelf W16 easy, a W12 is more attainable that is found in a VW Toureg, not too rare in Europe, however, they are as rare as a S14a as I have, I saw 3 this summer of each…
They push about 600 hp at 6 litre
Phaeton, A8L and bentley continental (now just V8 I think).
They all push around 500 BHP with a upper limit of just 1000 for a 6 litre which is rather bad. It’s challenges are high output per volume.
Variable Length runners for intake.Pro’s,
Exceptionally small!
Lightweight. You could do the Turn off ignition/injection for one bank below a certain “TPS” limit.
Building vs buying and doing electronic management and changes sounds like the best bet, of the W12 engine π

Righty, new days, new problems, new findings, etc.
When going back from work it was about minus 5 ish, I noticed it didn’t idle properly when cold.
bought a oil filter, oil (cause I assumed it wasn’t in good condition)
And I was not mistaken!!!and before I knew it I had changed the oil, taken apart some of the inlet and removed and cleaned the IAC valve (idle air control)
It helped a bit, it would not stall at all anymore, but still rough idle, just minor.
Got spark plugs coming in from UK along with a fuel filter, I assume it’s going to do the trick banana:Edit: Plugs are in! Iridium sparks π
Looked like it was needed, all of the old ones!

October 31, 2013 at 5:00 am in reply to: My Euro 200SX/240SX Rebuild/upgrade project – Daily with performance SR20DET #558492Finally a little update here π
It’s in the garage, it’s getting torn to pieces for a solid buildup.
Here’s me in a nice working position ;P
To discover a nice and clean engine on the inside, keep in mind it’s a very high milage for a tuned car/engine and this being first time it’s opened! π
and more stripping!
Need to remove turbo, bonnit, powersteering/ac pumps and gearbox and just lift it out now.
I’ll update regularly throughout the winter!
EDIT:
Next day, removed turbo and unbolted the gearbox but haven’t removed it yet, so progress have been made π
Hopefully this weekend the engine will be lifted out π -
