Some numbers of brand sale stats from Norway, these are low numbers are we just 5 million people.

And by these numbers I’d like to point out the inability for GM to stay competetive, for the last 40 years in europe, I see they are changing fast for the better on all areas! so no generally bashing american car makers here, but GM based brands are Opel (vauxhall in Australia and UK) and Ford. less influenced brands are kia and hyundai but controlling stake by GM, but doesnt share much design features.

Both have done far better since 2007 when they had their crysis, and they took care of things the right way! as seen with the new Mondeo especially!
generally worthless info as it’s from europe but general faith with american brands have faded slowly over 40 years to start impressing us again 🙂

      Volkswagen Golf – 6779
      Volvo V70 – 3485
      Toyota Avensis – 3425

                  However just personal opinion.
Nothing ever… ever ever ever ever ever will beat a jap made car in reliability.
Unfortunately there are hardly any car that is japmade avaiable to us..
In europe atleast.. the prius is made in Japan, what has the least erorrs after 1-2-5-10 years ? prius wins it all by good margin, but I hate the car…

My progress on the inlet manifold.
It have been polished on the inside, outside have just been cleaned and painted.

In progress, I used a hose bit and just big enough flexible grinder to run it all through 🙂 it’ll somewhat improve velocity and response.

And It’s pretty much done, Just a few bits left to do.
Weld the EGR valve inlet tight, attach some sensors, rewire the injector cable pack.

Got more fun stuff, the 1 out 3 parcels for the bottom end 🙂

In my opinion.. anything is 11s for the cheap, depends if you stick with the stock engine or not.
Engine swaps are the cheapest way to do anything really, buy a volvo engine from sweeden that has turbo setup stock, and you get 400-500 whp without any hazzle…
But good to have something with potential from the start! :cheer:

Today I started cleaning the intake manifold, and they are now clean for any oil and dirt ! 😀
However I’ve not done anything technical to them as of yet, I started with the throttlebody.
I will keep the stock throttlebody cause other throttlebody’s that you get as a tuning part are usually just larger.
My build will be just 350 WHP max! internal parts will be easily able to do 600+! but I want response and reliability.
So the stock throttlebody will give be just that, response!

The stock body is forged and haven’t been machined to remove edges and have a rough surface.
The butterfly plate also is angled at idle, I’ve decreased this angle slightly by making the whole thing slightly larger and increased the angle at full throttle from 85 degree angle to exact 90 degree, that will also move more air, less resistanse and since it’s small it will have velocity and that’s what you need for response.
So I’ve improved velocity and throughput without much cons, took some time though.
