The battery light coming on in the beginning was with the original alternator and battery. My question now is how many amps do the original equipment Honda alternators generate? My aftermarket one is around 75 amps.

The fluid level is fine, just a little confused about why the car can move backward and not forward. Not too learned in automatic transmissions. The tranny has a modulator valve on it, could that be a source of the problem?

After I replaced the thermostat on the block, the hose did get a little warmer, before it was ice cold. Which way does the coolant flow on that car, you would think that the hose coming from the block would be hotter!

Thanks for the info, I was unaware that the Nissan had two thermostats. The bottom hose was cold, so I replaced the thermostat on the block. Cleared the code. So far no more codes!

The car has heat so the thermostat is not stuck open, tomorrow morning I will check the wiring on the coolant temp sensor, as soon as I purchase some torx sockets!!

The expansion valve was one of the components I replaced, along with the dryer and evap coil. My particular model of civic does not have an evap temp sensor. So I guess the clutch is overheating and shutting down. Is there any special tools needed take
