So I ran the smoke test and there seems to be no leaks, I’m hoping some line I messed with was just loose and caused the problem. Thanks again everyone I’ll update if anything changes or if I end up finding something else
I believe I checked all of the air inlets, even the small ones that go around the back side of the engine and they all seemed ok. However I suspect one of them is the problem because the only thing I did in between it not running and running was disconnect one of them for my smoke tester, then reconnected it. It was connected pretty solid when I removed it but I’m thinking it may have fixed a nearby connection. I’m getting a few other things done now but after I run the smoke I’ll recheck all of them as well just in case.
So I went out this morning to continue diagnosing, my plans before seeing this were to throw together a diy smoke tester for it to check for leaks. Then since I saw this I also pulled out the voltmeter. When I first tried to start it it did exactly as it did last night so I started making my smoke tester and disconnected one of the lines to check if my tubing would fit, but shortly after someone wanted to hear what it wasn’t sounding like so I put the line on and started it, and now it’s running perfectly fine again!
I’m still going to go ahead and finish this smoke tester just to be extra sure, I’m worried my pcm may be having problems as I’ve seen other forums mention that on these cars. Oh and as far as any work being done no I haven’t had anything done to the car besides the oil/filter and air filter changes that I did around 3k miles ago
If anything else happens I’ll update here for anyone else who’s having trouble. -
