So i went to the local parts retailer who pulled the codes off my CEL.
Apparently it is an issue involving P1300.Code definition is cylinder #1 IGf signal does not return from ignitor. This is strange as the car runs smoothly and shows no obvious runability issues. Could this be a coil pack problem? Whatever the case I am letting my local shop run a scope on it to ensure I fix the right thing.
Any guidance from here would be much appreciated as I am not too sharp with electrical and would love to save a trip to the shop…
Thanks guys!!!
What I will do is get the code reading, stop and get some carb cleaner and clean out the throttle body and the IACV.
We will see what happens after the code reading.
thanks guys

I looked at the mount and it appears cracked surrounding the center. Kind of what you would expect to see of a cracked rubber boot. Looks hard, cracked and worn.
I am going to say that there is enough play in the mount after being worn, it is most likely the problem. So I will go hunt down a replacement.
Let ya all know how it goes once I jam another one on.
Have fun, guys…

Thanks all and johnbkobb for following up…
I went to a local wrecking yard and pulled the striker assembly off an LS. Perfect fit. Just transferred over the rods from the original and had my new one in place without having to drill or solder anything. The trick was getting all the little blue, yellow and grey clips to stay intact. Turned out to be about an hour to get everything all fixed and back into place carefully.
If I would lend any advice to anyone dealing with this issue, I would say make sure that you are careful if you do not have a bag full of retaining clips to back you up while your doing the swap. The retaining clips are at the end of each rod, and are very brittle. If you just ‘John Wayne’ them off you will end up having to wait to buy them from the dealer and pay a lot just for a cheap old plastic clip.
All works great, and now I can move on to looking for a used window regulator…

I like the idea of welding a washer to the existing rod. I just don’t know anyone who has a welder. I will see what it costs to just buy the rod from a wrecking yard or something. I do appreciate the advice though, thank you!!!

Hey Bellis,
Thanks for checking in with me to ensure your advice helped. I have not been able to get the time to try it all out. I will be getting to it in a few days and will be sure to let you know the outcome. Thank you for the advice, once again.
