It depends on your experience working on cars. If you are a beginner or a DIYer I would recommend using a torque wrench.

In that case, you can try blue threadlocker.

Honestly, I have never used threadlock on valve cover bolts. As long as they are torqued to spec, it shouldn’t come loose. Do you think someone else worked on it previously that they didn’t torque the bolts properly?

Try cleaning the throttle body first. Idle air control valve could be the other reason.

Yes, that idle range is too low. First step would be to check the throttle body condition and cleaning it. Idle and drive around for a while to let the ECU learn the idle. If it still continues then it could be your idle air control valve but before changing get it checked by a mechanic because there are other possibilities too like MAF sensor, TPS sensor, vacuum leak, etc.

I would suggest to recover the AC system and get it recharged according to the weight recommended by the car manufacturer. You need to go to a professional for that. Once that is confirmed and if it still doesn’t work then you need to check other things like the cooling fans, compressor relay (if it is functioning properly or not), if the relay is getting signal or not, pressure switches, etc.

I would suggest checking the wiring again maybe there is a hidden break in the insulation that is causing this intermittent trouble. You can check the resistance of TDC sensor wiring to the ECU with another sensor wiring to the ECU to compare and confirm it is not a wiring issue.

It would be recommended to replace the torque converter too. As the lock up mechanism could have suffer some damages which we won’t know unless we fix everything and do a long road test.

Does your engine have mild misfire or power loss on acceleration?

Do you think the grind noise is from the ABS Unit? During the brake job, did you get the brake fluid replaced? I would suggest doing a complete system bleeding first.

It sounds like bad news. It sounds like something from the top end of your engine is causing that noise. It would require a visual inspection after removing the valve cover to see what went wrong.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? That hissing noise you mentioned can also be a vacuum leak. Also, I would suspect the idle air control valve is getting an internal block, sticking intermittently or going bad.

Gears would require a visual inspection to confirm the condition. With a crack that big I believe there is no other option than replacement. If it independent front axle another thing you can do is remove the drive shaft and prop shaft then you can keep driving it as nothing will be rotating the front differential. Also, do something to cover the cracks.

If it has a clean red ATF fluid and still causing these symptoms, there is a chance the transmission might be failing. If there is some mechanic who can check the live datas and see if the transmission is overheating. If that’s okay then replace transmission fluid and filter once to make sure you are putting in the right fluid. Then drive it for a while and see if the problem changes. If not then it could be a transmission problem but get it checked with a transmission specialist.
