when i mess with the ignition switch, and slowly turn the key a no buss will come up bright not faint with a airbag light.
what dose this mean?could it be the switch?
i check pretty much everything only thing i havent mess with is the airbag box under the shifter.bye just looking at it its really dirty.but i dont want to mess with that thing and end up hooking the battery up and the airbags go off.
so i guess ill just park the dang thing.i dont know what to do.

was messing with the wires under the dash and i went to turn the key on and every was dead again.but this time a (no buss) popped up then went to a faint 0.
This may sound like a canned answer, but it’s actually the best one for that question–the factory service manual. Aside from that, a flashlight and visual inspection. Wherever you see a wiring harness, follow it as it snakes around. Eventually you will come to ground splices. These usually fasten onto the body under a nut on a stud. Common locations are behind and underneath the dash, under the seats on the floor, under the car along the frame, and under the hood.
thats what i thought.i guess ill get to checking them
When there are electrical faults, all sorts of weird things happen in all sorts of weird places.
Let’s step back for a moment. Considering that you have multiple faults in other systems other than instruments, I am going to go back to my original suggestion and check your grounds. You may also want to check your battery-to-body grounds as well. There are multiple grounding points located all over the vehicle. When these get loose, rusty, cut or damaged, etc., funky things happen.
you know where i could fine a diagram that shows all of the grounding points for this car?
only thing was working was just the headlights and oil light in dash and a faint 0 in the miles.everything else was dead.it would start and run fine.just didnt have anything lights or radio or gauges or ac,heater.
would the cluster cause that?
today i went and check the car.and nothing was working but the oil light the miles had a faint 0,start it up and runs fine.then i popped the hood and disconnected the neg battery cable while it was running.wait 2 mins and connect the cable back when back in the car and everything came back like it should.
have no clue whats going on.all the fuse had dirt and was little corroded.so i cleaned them all.
could this be a computer problem? or voltage regulator? im guessing its inside the computer? can this be tested?
car runs fine.just every now and then the dash gauges die and come back later on.
any body?
now it has no tail lights, foglights, park lights.cant lock doors.
the door locks, and windows wont work either
It could be a bad torque converter clutch. Chances are you are still using the original converter with the rebuilt trans. That could be why the issue is recurring even though the trans was repaired. Interestingly, sometimes you can have a bad converter without noticeable or adverse performance while driving because it isn’t so bad to cause a noticeable symptom, but bad enough to set codes. I would look at that, especially if the solenoid was replaced during the trans overhaul. If the solenoid was not replaced, that could be causing the same codes if it is sticking or failing in which case the converter is probably fine. If the solenoid is new and the codes recur, and the wiring is ok, then the converter itself is most likely the culprit.
we have replace that shift solenoid a few times.this is the 3rd one.the first one after the rebuild
I have seen a few older Chrysler cars with this problem. It could be the torque converter locking up in reverse. You might have a transmission tech check it for you. They usually don’t charge for an opinion.
thanks for the repleys
sorry its been over a year the transmission had failed a few months after i posted this. we had it rebuilt 3 TIMES the 3rd time the charm.
its still having the problem. the same codes keep comeing up.they are
po740-torque converter clutch solenoid circuit
p0700-transmission control sysyem
these keep coming up every few months after we replace the that box connector (forget what it is call)
