check valves in the fuel pumps were bad. replace both now everything is good
we got it fixed..though the sending unit is bad for the fuel gauge
i was told and what i have read that there in only a switch on the dash to switch the front or rear tank on.
i recall video where eric was talking about this but cant remember the video.
ok check the wiring and i havent seen anything, but the shift solenoid connector cover is cracked/broke.
other thing. when you put it in reverse and hold the brake with the rpms at 2,000rpm it has a shake and will stall out when you left off the gas
what would this mean?
It could also be a wiring issue. The way to go about this is to eliminate all other possibilities before replacing the TCU. To do that, you need to check each circuit going into the TCU for faults.
Before you go there, you might try the relearn procedure College man suggested. More info on transmission problems here.

Please keep us updated on your progress.
so check the wiring and connectors, for the transmission,
i also still cant find out to do the re learn procedure. do i have to take it to a dealer or no?
i must be over reading that link, but all i see is how to remove it
i have
po740-torque converter clutch solenoid circuit
po700-transmission control system
You’re welcome, thanks for the update. Glad you got it fixed :)
it even fixed the ac vent controls, that thing been going bad ever since we bought the car back in 07
got it fixed,it was the bcm bad
thx for the help
Not for a 99. It should be plug-n-play as long as the part numbers are the same.
another thing i forgot to tell you.
it will stall when back up.that tell you anything? its been doing this for awhile
With all of the issues you’re having, you might want to get a power probe kit with a circuit tracer (which comes in the deluxe kit for a few extra $$). Once you have a factory service manual, you can start tracing circuits one at a time. At lease it would allow you to start narrowing down where the source of these issues is coming from (considering BCMs arn’t cheap and I’m not sure if there is a clear/direct method to test them).
Good luck!
i would love to have one of those but dont have the money for one of those.
iv found a bcm on ebay for 38bucks. dose it need to be reprogramed?
Ok, I am starting to lean toward body control module (BCM) after looking at the wiring diagram. The only thing that doesn’t fit that diagnosis is why power windows don’t work, because they don’t go through the BCM and are not connected to the data bus; they seem to be a standalone circuit. The BCM is mounted to the back side of the fuse box under the dash. Inspect the wiring first to make sure there aren’t any loose or burnt wires. Dodge is famous at times for using undersized wiring. Make sure to disconnect the battery first before removing the module and wiring to prevent short circuits if wiring is damaged.
im also leaing toward the bcm.i think the windows are the switches going bad.we have had problems with those for awhile.iv check all the wiring for the bcm and everything looks clean.but i cant see the 2 connectors in the back.the female connectors look good and clean.but cant see the male ones untill i pull it out..
other thing.it will not work when its hot outside.when its cool it will work.
It is possible. I suggested a cluster problem a week ago. However, I advise this, since other systems were involved as well (such as door locks and windows). Unplug the cluster wiring, see if the other systems work properly. If so, plug the cluster back in, see if they fail again. If the other systems work properly only when the cluster is unplugged, then the cluster itself is likely the issue. If they don’t work regardless of whether the cluster is in or out, the cluster is likely not the issue.
just tryed it again and had no effect like before.going to try the cluster out and see what happens
well ever since it got hot today its been out. unhooking the cluster and reconnecting it dosent work.leaving it unhook same thing.
i have know clue whats going on
Relays get hot when they are turned on all the time. It may be normal.
think i found the problem
it was screw up again last night.so i said what the hell and just took the cluster out and back in 2-3mins later and everything came back on.just now it happend again.and did the same thing.so this is telling me somthing is wrong with my cluster right?
next time it dose it.im going to just un connect it and reconnect it. and see what happens

With the no bus message coming up, be sure to double check your fuses (ALL of them) as well as the wiring as previously discussed. The no bus message means the computer modules cannot ‘talk’ to each other.
when i mess with the ignition switch, and slowly turn the key a no buss will come up bright not faint with a airbag light.
what dose this mean?could it be the switch?
i check pretty much everything only thing i havent mess with is the airbag box under the shifter.bye just looking at it its really dirty.but i dont want to mess with that thing and end up hooking the battery up and the airbags go off.
so i guess ill just park the dang thing.i dont know what to do.
ok found somthing else, the tcm and fuel pump relays are getting hott.what dose this mean? wire or somthing broke or touching somthing?
