First of all you need to check your transmission oil to make sure you have enough oil to see If you don’t have a oil leak. You might try to add Lucas transmission oil conditioner to help shifting.
If the oil is fine, you might check this potential problem : Ptential problems. Some of is problem are cost repair for a flywheel. But anyway I will put Lucas Transmission Fixanyway because transmission repair cost a lot.First of all you need to check your transmission oil to make sure you have enough oil to see If you don’t have a oil leak. I saw some picture on Google of the motor without the gasket. I saw one place where the coolant come from nee the oil motor head. My deduction, gasket leak may also leak motor oil in you manifold. So I’m pretty sure you need to replace It whit OEM part as possible to avoid to change It again sooner that expected. The picture I saw was on this forum : coolant_intake_manifold_gasket
