That startup sounded GREAT! Here in New Zealand recent legislation was passed that prevents any car having a loud exhaust system unless it came from the factory that way. Means everything has to be hushed up especially that repower that now uses a nice large capacity V8 while your average Harley motorcycle can safely remain unplugged. Kind of taken the edge off of hotrodding for us old guys.

The legislation came into being from so many youngsters running their Rotary wankles open or just about every turbo’d 4 cylinder Japanese import (the favoured ride of most teenagers) being modified to un-mufflered, (no cat) feeding excessive diameter 3″ pipes (terrible noise) and being driven at speed through the surburbs of a city at 2 or 3am…
