Any video to assist with this task?I was linked here from the newsletter…
As far as your reasons listed for not having a lift in your shop, & the lease situation, it makes perfect sense!
My Integra is currently lowered & countless times have I WISHED I had a lift for better access & manueverablity… But the reality is I (like many) have to work from the ground using a jack & jack-stands. Your videos keep it in real life with what most of us have to work with. Don’t get me wrong, whether it’s at this shop, or the next, I hope you are able to have a lift… but I do appreciate the detailed videos you make for all of us from “on the ground”.

THANKS!
I will post the results once I return from the holidays with pics, ect and perform the florescent dye test. As it stands I believe the leak is coming from the solenoid gasket but that is just assuming by looking at where oil is currently observed from the dye test will confirm if im right. I will post as soon as I can.
cheers
Adam
Wondering if you have any updates? or results of dye test?

thanks.dupokulips,
I am interested in your results, as I have recently noticed a similar oil leak in the same area of my 98 Integra; However, it’s an RS, & there’s no Vtec solenoid…
I have already replaced the valve cover gasket. – Maybe Cam seal?PB98RS

Yeah, that was a long day & when it was time to re-install, we were mentally exhausted & challenged… The next day, he says he could’ve kicked himself for not thinking correctly & missing an important step…
oh well, hindsight is always 20-20, lolBut Thanks to you for the site & for the users here to lend a hand (so to speak)

Thanks everyone!yes, that makes sense…. we were thinking the nut screwed in center & holds it from the top (inside the engine bay)… Noob error. We’ll double check it & follow the video instructions.

Thanks! This morning we’ll be back at it again…
thanks for your responses, We’ll make sure the mount goes on the spring coil…Our current problem remains, though,: once the spring compressor tool is compressed, the tools’ threaded bolts stick out (flare out) & prevents us from fitting the whole strut unit into that small box-like area, because the 2 threaded rod bolts bump into the body.
I’ll try to snap a pic of what I mean.
