      Hello. In your first paragraph it sounds like you lost communication between your vtd module and your high spees can. This system runs in series. You need to get a wiring diagram and do a voltage drop test on your b+ and b-. From there you need to do a continuity test on all wires between your bus and vdt.

        You whole blinker switch unit is bad I had the same issue in my 98 explorer

          The clicking noise is because the voltage is to low to turn the starter. Sounds like tour battery is bad. You say now when you jump it it only cranks but does not start. Does it have fuel. Is the anti theft light on. Is any lights on?

            You need to do voltage drop test on the ground side. You said you did the valves. Make sure your valve timing is correct. Then make sure your did the ignition timing was done correctly. Make sure both these are correctly done. If all checks out you need to do a standing and running compression test and compare it manufacture specs. If this checks out then you have missed something doing with the ignition system.
