Since a lot of conversion work has been done give a second look at your pulley diameter and which direction the pump is turning. Check the idle speed too. Just because the fans kick on, as they should, doesn’t guarantee the engine is getting sufficient water flow.

I got my jack from the auto parts store over 20 years ago (Car Quest). It’s red & white and looks like a Blackhawk, but has no name on it.

        Here’s a smokin’ deal
Well they offered me 14 flat rate an hour…
At $14/hr they’ll get a monkey, not a mechanic. It tells me that 90% of what they wanted you to do must have been low return warranty work. It also tells me they make all of their money off the backs of salesmen (who probably don’t last too long either)
So far I like the 2001 volvo s60 but the MPG sucks but it looks super clean and nice and has lots of nice accessories.120k miles. But I do want to get a car with good MPG but Honda civic’s (couple) are over priced cars with very little accessories and high miles 140K+. Whats the best car to get ?
I’d bet on a Toyota Camry any ol’ day of the week. They aren’t cheap, but they are plentiful and that tends to keep prices in check. A Subaru wagon would be another good choice. I think they’re kind of funky and take some getting use to. I wouldn’t recommend Volvo simply because parts & service tend to be scarce. They’re tough for sure, but the dash is guaranteed to crack (along with other interior plastics)

It’s 10 years old, change it. IMO the suggested change intervals are about right on the money. Rule of thumb -the faster an engine spins, the sooner one should change a timing belt. Major leaks are another good reason to change timing belts earlier than suggested.

Yep, if you can. I’m not pimping for Snappy, but in 35 years Snap-On has always been around. In fact, the only area I can think of where service is mediocre is in the oil patch. I have seen the others (Mac & Matco) come and go, and have been stuck with broken tools for months/years at a time. And I realize it could be the other way around in some other locality…
