****Update******

So I finally got the time to fix the issue and what had happened was the bottom clip was loose and had broke in half it was barely holding on so when i brake it would shove against the rotor. Replaced the clip and everything is good. Thank you to everyone.

Guilty, I have to say this one hit home. I have had allot of medical issues and for some reason I mentally just ignore the warnings and work. You have opened my eyes and made me think of things a different way. I plan to start working on my health as much as I work on cars. I have 2 daughters and a loving wife that I need to start thinking about. I got addicted to your videos a few months ago and I have to say its not often you find someone with your gift of making the audience feel like your best friend. Thank you Eric.

Ok now I need to punch something and get my man juices going again JK. banana:

Never thought of using UV Dye I will have to look into that 🙂

Well I would say that there was a new Eric video on youtube you might benefit from. If your afraid of the fan blowing the dye all over the inside of the engine I would use the dye and perform the Coolant pressure test.

Happy hunting owe also this will let you know if you pulled a me and over flow the coolant through the reservoir overflow and then wonder why there was coolant everywhere. This was long time ago, I looked for a leak for days and only came to my own dumb conclusion.

Shims where installed brakes came with new ones ( thank you champion ) Its not a up and down noise its hard to describe I know almost for a fact that the noise is the pads pressing against the router like the piston in the caliper is not moving with the brake wear.

Good post lots of places to start. I have a few questions this might lead to some answers.

1. any history of overheat?
2. when you changed the plugs and wires did you check the distributor?
3. are we sure the timing is right since we changed the timing belt?
4. Pressure checked the cooling system we might still have a leak?

These are a few ideas. I find it helps to double check the work done before jumping to a new possible issue specially since these 4 things are only some of the possible things leading to missing, I would also just to be sure, perform a compression check on the missing cylinder.

Let me know if these are things already done i don’t doubt skill I just know we are human 🙂

I have used gloves for awhile and with me it seams to depend on what i’m doing. If I do a brake job ill use a pair per axle. If I do allot of tight engine work I rip through them like no other. My issue is finding my size. I can palm a bowling ball with one hand, double XL is hard to find in normal stores. Love seeing more people use gloves my father always did when he was a tech and always got beef for it. Now days its more accepted, he would say “work smarter not harder”. banana:
