Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback.

I thought this at first about the valvetrain, looked at it and everything seemed fine. So I brought it to the mechanic and he said he went through the whole head with a fine tooth comb and nada. I forgot to leave out an important bit of information. I dissected the oil filter earlier on and found brass looking flakes, making me believe it’s a wrist pin bushing. What’s your view on this? It’s not bearing material as I looked earlier and so did the mechanic and couldn’t fine nothing wrong with them, also usually when crank bearing start disintegrating you get a silver and copper looked glitter in the pan and filter, but not so in this case. Also to the other reply, I might have to check the water pump but I’m a firm believer it’s a engine issue do to the brass flakes that I forgot to mention in the first post. I will still give it a whirl and thank you again to the both of you for the feedback, I been really frustrated with this issue as I was planning on selling it but can’t sell something that is broken.

I checked lower bearings, they actually looked pretty, nothing out of the ordinary. I checked the valve clearance, LMA’s, rocker arms or assembly, valves (springs, keepers, retainers, and seats) cam lobes, everything. Got fed up, brought it to a local mechanic for a second opinion, went through everything and said the only thing he didn’t check and suspects is the wrist pin. At idle the car is quiet, after 1300rpm it starts getting loud.

I wouldn’t get involved with people like that, do whatever business you have with them leftover and don’t deal with him/them anymore. The father sounds bughouse.
