      …..aaaaaaand my next google search turns up the answer.

      (Of course, the 34 searches before didn’t tell me anything.)

      Here’s the source.

        Run those 4 past your insurance agent.

        That should help you decide, too.

            Gettin’ there.

            Got the lower intake off. Tons of sludge in the valley and under the intake. It was disgusting. You know the stuff you find when changing a diaper? Same thing only without the smell. And the good news: no coolant in the oil/sludge!

            Cleaned all the gasket surfaces, cleaned out a bunch of sludge that I could get by hand, put a new thermostat w/gasket and intake gaskets in place and buttoned up the coolant system.

            I did NOT top off the coolant yet, but I did do a pressure test while I still have the tool. Before, I couldn’t even get it to hold 10 psi it was leaking so badly, now I got it up to 15 psi and it held.

            I didn’t button it up completely because the #1 fuel injector didn’t look too healthy; I think there’s a crack in the side of it. There isn’t a misfire code, but I figured it would only be a matter of time, so I ordered the new injector, it should be here tomorrow.

            Monday: Put in the injector, secure the ERG and reconnect the vacuum hoses and upper intake, top off the coolant – give it another pressure test and fire it up!

            So far, so good. {fingers crossed}

                Cleaned out around the injector, started to pressurize the system again…it’s the intake gasket not the injector.

                I knew the injector didn’t sound right.

                    Does your instrument cluster ever go out? Then randomly come on? Do you have a digital odometer? Does the odometer randomly turn off/on?

                    Evidently, these clusters are known to “fall apart” from the inside. Our ’99 had 2 resistors on the circuit board completely fried – we had many stalls, fail to start, alarm problems.

                        Oh, yeah…salvage yard was my first choice. These Hondas are stripped before they even hit the ground at the yard. I’d practically have to live there just to check every time a Honda came in.

                        I called the dealership, too. They wanted $4-digits for the entire wiring harness.

                        I got in touch with Beck/Arnley (since they make the sensor) and they told me the dealership should have it separate from the harness. I’m going to try that again, too.

                        Thanks, College Man.
