After doing those things I probably look into getting the Timing Belt Replacement. Sine its never been done car has 153,000 miles.
It could be just the mounts i replaced all except the rear. Only things i can think of is to replace the rear mount. And do another ATF fluid change. And see if makes improvement. Ive beem told as well to see if the mounts hold vacuum.
I make sure everything on my vehicle is well maintained actually i think i over maintain it. When ever i have a problem or suspect theres a problem if there ever is. I seek my Factory service maunal and if i cannot find the issue. I get the Honda TSB’s and go from there. Hate to say it but going to the dealership is the last place i go. They just don’t have the same care and love for the cars they service. Its like that at every Honda Dealer here in Las Vegas Nevada. I only go there for oil filters. And small replacement parts like clips and grommets. I mean Overall its just metal plastic and glass but i want my Accord to last forever. And plus it was my dads car so i want it to last for the rest of my days.
What if the person loves there car but can’t afford for certain things for it. Like for instance i take really good care of my cars interior & engine compartment and exterior. But since i live in Nevada and with the extreme heat. It Caused my Accords paint to fade out so bad on the roof and pillars. i so badly want the exterior refinished of my Pearl. But the money for my cars paint i need it for my college classes.
On most Acura’s Honda’s ive seen i think almost all of them they have a square. With a small hole in it stamped in the front sub frame. In the factory service maunal its shows the exact place To put a floor jack.
This is exactly why i avoid the dealership I only go there just to buy parts and to get proprietary things taking care of. Such PCM/ECM reprogramming. There was only one time that things at my Honda dealer went smoothly and that was when I brought my car in to have the Brake Master cylinder replaced. Other times forget it they left some crappy shop rag on the floor mat. And where talking about the Honda Accord mat. That cost $120 and you can get those no more. Plus they scratched my door man it was all bad. I told the service adviser lady there about it. But they said the scratch was all ready there i said NO It Was not. And for shop rag being left in the car they forget about it Being in there. I was so mad I didn’t want to hear all the excuses. There where telling me so i just payed my invoice and left. NEVER going back to that place.
Sorry for your loss Eric
I give the battery a charge and installed It back in the car and works like how its supposed now. I think its odd it did that so maybe I have something in the car some where that’s slowly draining the car battery parasitic draw so ill be checking for that. thanks for the help guys i will report back what i find.
ok so the dealership checked the battery it tested good (only 5 month old battery) and reads 12.74. I wish I knew how to post pictures so I can show the paper… But after that they said to charge it up so I have it on a car charger right now set to 2amp charge. im going to see if the battery will start the car. I hope it does because I don’t have the money to be replacing the Under dash Hood relay box. if there is a issue with that or what ever was causing the relay module to start clicking because after I removed the fuse which I just checked my Honda service manual says relay control module. all the sudden the ticking noise stopped. i don’t know will see what happens after that batt is charged back up.
I really like this repair video it shows us how you where before you founded EricTheCarGuy. Also i see the famous big bertha hammer you made cool to see that in the video. Vintage stuff is always interesting specially if its from ETCG .
Ok thanks ill try that tomorrow i have to rent the tool to check the compression on the suspected cylinder.
Ok i will try that but I’ll have to get new bulbs since the old ones are burned out
Well I rotated the engine today and it rotated smoothly I didn’t have to take the spark plugs out. So I don’t have to worry about the engine being locked up. It just got me worried about my engine after seeing the civic that Eric was diagnosing. But then again that car ran out of oil. When my car has aways had its regular oil changes. I guess it just had me thinking because my engine made a similar click. As that one did. Being alittle paranoid I guess. but the replacement starter should be here next week. So i can install it and be able to drive the car again.
