Tension is fine, and pulley is turning on alternator.
also can’t reach the alternator for testing Voltage at source
Anyone know anything about the ELD? (Electric Load Detector) that supposedly communicates the alternator with the ECU/PCM and has the ability to regulate the alternator output.
cool topic!

I like the cover photo for this video, shows Eric goes the extra mile to represent!
Proprietary to this business is the parts, the labour (knowledge/skills), and the tools. The electrical bills, rent, water, waste removal, tax, social security, and insurance are not proprietary in any way shape or form. Now, if you think about it, the way shipping and parts stores operate on the www, the parts are less and less proprietary these days. So that leaves labour and tools. Most Mechanics have their own tools. So the end result is that a mechanic can work for say 25$ an hour at a service garage location, which feeds him jobs, or for himself. I paid my friend $120 to install new calipers, rotors and pads in the front. It would have cost me $240 to do it in any dealer. Point in fact, for maintenance and small jobs, the car culture is in good form for diy’ers and hire-by-wire mechanic friends, but for larger jobs and people who have no time to waste and friends that are all posh, the dealerships will bleed you like air out of a brake line.

My main concern is having to redo my brakes a year from now. So if you can just do a quick reply with
1)the duration you have used Wearever rotors (years or mileage)
2)the pads you used them with
3)any noticed problemsthat would help out a lot of people who are looking for feedback on this bargain product.
this is a good website to get good honest reviews going on a popular product for people strapped for cash. Thanks Again.

So you guys think I might have a slow leak? … my miniature periods of cold air followed by hot air thereafter is a possible prognosis I suppose?
So if I don’t want to invest too much dough, what’s the smart approach here: A or B
A ) take it to a good service centre and just get them to recharge the system with refrigerant and dye?
B ) invest in the diagnosis full force and check to see if the problem is the compressor or if the condenser is overly abused (many damaged fins), or some other component? If it works upon initial activation of the dial, the system must be capable, just not sure what is holding it back so to speak.
…… worth noting that on the gray stone driveway, I had a centrally located white stain on these stones. Related? What stains white besides salt residue anyways?
You guys are awesome. Hope I can find some good guidance!

Basically nobody buys half a car. As such, if a person cannot afford a 3000-4000 expense, better off using some other form of transport because that is what any car will cost annually minimum no matter the initial price (800 or 2000). Gotta factor in a minimum of 1000 of repairs in the first year easy or it’s just a gamble. So to the point, buying a car at 800 is always buying half a car even if it looks like one full car.

I do not believe Prestone makes Green coolant… their’s is yellow as to not change the color of your coolant when topping up.
2) funny enough, Dexcool gets used in Hondas. The Prestone all makes all models is essentially the same as Dexcool and gets used in them a lot also. Dexcool and Prestone all makes are both 2-EH formulas. Honda and many others don’t like 2-EH. But, 2-EH is not the problem it is made out to be. It is more sensitive to some types of contamination (especially air intrusion).
If the Honda is well maintained, the Dexcool or Prestone
should be fine. It is not OEM approved, but it is in the
same general family (OAT) as the genuine Honda coolant.
Honda does use phosphates which Dexcool does not.I do not believe Prestone makes Green coolant… their’s is yellow as to not change the color of your coolant when topping up.
