I love ever since stuff. My most recent one was on a Chevy Colorado. I did the t Stat and housing. After my final test drive I parked it. A few hours go by, customer shows up, pays and then as she is trying to leave she stops and goes back inside. The driver master window and door lock switch is now inop. This was at 6 pm closing time. I pull the door panel, do some testing around and boom. Master switch is now bad. I didn’t exactly get accused of it being my fault but customer did mention that it was working all day until now. Bad luck of the draw I guess.

Good reading and info. When I started and still do from time to time. Is if I have to borrow a tool 3 times. I guess it should be next on my list to buy because other techs get upset if you always needing something. In the beginning it sucks because yes you don’t know what to buy and not a need to dump 15k on a brand new setup.

Hello from utah. I’m dustin 29. Been working on vehicles for 14 yrs. Just got into diag. First auto job when I was 16 at a machine shop tearing down engines. Now I work at Master Muffler doing any and everything. Safety and emissions certified in light and heavy duty vehicles and air brakes, motorcycles, atv side x sides and whatever else needs to be on the road. Starting to do diag and it’s a bit different to find problems rather then being a parts hanger, lube tech or a tire guy. That’s for sure.
