Hey MJB I am not familiar with these car but the my personal experience is that it sounds like the lifters and they need adjusting but that is my opinion.
Thank you! A friend of mine said the same thing, probably the lifters. I’m thinking about adding Seafoam or Marvel Mystery oil to the engine oil to see if there is any improvement. I’ve never been a fan of these “oils”, just that I’m about about to change oil soon anyway. Any downside should I be aware of?
I would first try and isolate the noise.

Are you using the correct viscosity oil?

As for the valve adjustment, i believe the service interval for those vehicles is 100k miles. I would see if you can find anymore info online.

We do not service hybrids where i work as no one is certified to do so.

I tried to listen from different angles. The ticking noise seem from the engine. I even retorqued all the spark plugs to make sure it’s not due to loose spark plugs.

Yes, I’m using Castrol Edge Synthetic 5w-20 and K&N filter.
Yes, it is due for valve adjustment. Just want to make sure it is needed because it’s going to cost $500+.

This generation (2005-2007) Accord Hybrid has virtually identical engine as regular V6. The hybrid module connects to it and adds about 16hp, that’s it. I think the valves, timing belt, etc mechanical components are the same as regular engine.

      Thanks.
So I’m pretty sure that it’s my inner tie rods. When I turn the wheel back and forth I get a clunk and when I hold the inner tie rod I can feel as well as hear the noise. I just wanted to know if I should expect play in the tie rods or if there should be no movement at all. Also assuming that both inners are bad should I replace the outers even if they look okay??
There should be no movement at all in the tie rods. Tie rods are not very expensive. I would change the outer as well if I were to change the inners.
