so all the windows work now? the wires taped back together should
really be soldered and heat shrinked to be a proper repair. also a
speaker wire should have nothing to do with window power.yes all the windows work. I should have mentioned this from the beginning but my lock-i should mention that my keyless stopped beeping when i hit lock, window switches (minus d/s switch) and speaker on d/s were all not working and all went out at the same time. I thought these were going to all separate issues that I was going to ask on this forum.
Speaker may have nothing to do with window power so one of the those wires was for the speaker or locks or both?
I know I should have soldered but this was a temp fix and may do it another time since I know exactly what my issue is. There’s just not much room in the door jamb and even splicing the wires was little difficult.
yes fuses were checked. I tested all the switches and they all checked out fine. I decided to check the door jam and pull back the rubber protector only to find out that the red and green wires were split. I removed my speaker to get some leverage and slack rewired them together w/ electric tape. According to the diagram looks like the red and green had something to do with the power. Probably another reason why that speaker wasn’t working either. Glad it was just that instead of a possible multiplex control unit which would have took a good dime out of my pockets.
I appreciate all of your input in getting this issue fix.

+1 with looking at a wiring diagram. I would be checking my feeds and grounds.
Keep us posted!
ok I have looked on youtube but have not found anything specific to my issue. I have checked the wiring diagram on the bbbind site and they have one for the 04 acura TL. I’m going to assume its similiar but I still cant figure out where exactly to look. Again the switches on the d/s do not work except the d/s switch. All other windows and their individual switches work.
The pw repair video in the electronics section helps a little bit but the chevy cavaliar and the acura tl have window switches in different spots. My acura has the window switches in th d/s door whereas the video shows switches in the middle console almost like BMW’s.

just pop out the switch and use a testlight to see if you have voltage at the wires while you push down on the button (key on of course)
ok I’ll try that when I get off work today.
2 possible things that could happen:
1. Let’s say that I am getting voltage to the 3 non working switches on the d/s controls what would be my next thing to test/check?
2. What if there is no voltage to the 3 non working switches on the d/s controls what would be by my next thing to test/check?
Only d/s switch on d/s works, all other 3 on d/s do not work.
Again with scenarios:
1. What if I do feel or hear clicks in the relay, what next?
2. What if no clicks should I automtically assume relay or also check something else?To confirm:
Is #15 on this site the relay I should be touching when testing for clicks?http://acuraautomotiveparts.org/acura/j … CABIN+ROOM)&ListAll=All&vinsrch=no&systemcomp=List%20All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal

normally there is no window relay. the switch directs the power to the window
motor. check for 12v in the up and down position. also check the window regulator
for broken parts or bindingI have a voltmeter but can u let me know how exactly i would check for that?
also there is no broken parts that i see and i do not have a wiring diagram. If in fact there is no power in the up/down position what would be my next step?
Again thank u all for your input!
Ok I’ll have to check the diagram out. If I already switched out the whole master switch assembly do I still need check for power or does that basically tell me there is a power issue. The only switch that works is the d/s switch. Going back to what twiggy was saying about wires being flexed what can I do to check that as well?
