Hi, I’m Michael Southard. I graduated from Los Medanos College with an associate degree in automotive technology and obtained ASE’s A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9 and L1. Master Automobile Technician and Advanced Level Specialist according to paper. I work as a technical installer at a toyota dealership. I’m working on my 3rd year there just basic wrenching. I am definately a green technician who values experience more than whats written on paper. I find Erics videos immersive, informative and entertaining. I’m always learning something or sparking an interest to learn more and gain more hands on experience. I think for me it brings me back to my childhood… that part of my childhood when I took things apart just to find out how they worked. I don’t do that so much anymore because it can be quite expensive. But I can watch, learn and experience many different models thanks to Eric. At the same time expanding my experience, diagnostic skills and strategy. Thank you Eric and everyone else who shares their experiences in an effort to help the next guy.

Man up. You’re not obligated to fix anyone elses car just because you know how to do so. They are just as responsible for their own car and affairs as if you were in a different profession. Do they provide the same help when you need it? What do you owe them? Anything? What do you have to loose by telling them no? They stop bothering you? Instead of only talking to you when they need something? I’ve been in similiar situations and you usually compromise your own time and happiness to try to help someone else who often time will not return the favor if your in need. So I only help the people I feel really deserve it. The people that are there through thick and thin. Outside of that give them your 2 cents and Sorry but I’m busy! banana:
