No worries on thread jacking…i used to have a tps code, but oddly enough when i did the timing and accessory belts it went away. I had a o2 before timing job, so i changed the sensor and its fine. I did a dizzy replacement so maybe my i/t is off. Ill try tonight but this weekend for sure.
Im prrrretty sure they line up. I re checked everything many times while i was doing it. But this week since its butt cold ill re check that also along with ignition.
Yeah, it was not doing that. But i did replace the distributor before the timing belt. So we have narrowed that it maybe an ignition timing issue. Ill check my marks again anyhow to be sure, but i think it maybe ignition.
Bump
Ok, so eric was correct. I did a timing belt, water pump and all accessory belts and bam! The cel disappeared.
Now i have a new issue. So now when i slam the gas the car barely moves faster than 10mph. No cel so what could cause this issue? Bad throttle cable or throttle body?
All these parts were present in the rebuild.
Attachments:Off my integra, they were doing just fine on the integra, plus the ones that were on also sagged on that side prior to the change out.
Sorry, shouldbhave read rear lower control arms, and rear upper control arms.
It did that with the original spring set up…it was a mess. So i installed new shocks and good working springs.
Interior shots of the sagged side.
Attachments:
The vehicle from the photo looks like the springs used on that side are way too short..
Has the body on that side been sitting that low as long as you have had the car? If not what was done to the car at the time you noticed the body drop ( like an accident repair on that corner of the car.)
At a guess, it looks to me like the car has been in an accident and very badly repaired and the upper shock./spring mounting points are completely out of alignment (too high) in relation to the other side of the vehicle. But without checking out your rear suspension and the body mounting points it is hard to say.
Thanks for the reply, the shocks were replaced by me with good equal size OEM springs. All i can tell you all the body on that well had was some honda rust which i patched up. When i got it it was not sagging…it started to sag a bit…then i did all the work i mentioned…and it sagged still. I see no disturbance under the car were i can see a repair was done…the body seems to be original, no bondo or cut and welded marks. Can it be the trailing arm bushings? Ir the arm itself?
Thanks, I actually have a chevy and honda rebuild vids, and I have a Haynes and the 92-95 civic manual from honda. I have gone to the library and found only how to identify if their bad when inside the engine, meaning sounds (knocks) and other stuff. This engine was a JY engine if you will and I have no past history on it and I cannot find on how to tell while out the block. I have googled, thought I have found stuff but not really. I’ll keep digging for now. Thanks again.
