I hear a tapping noise. Maybe your valves need to be adjusted. Great job changing your own timing belt.
you can use a screw removal kit if the bolt is stripped and some penetrating oil.
It works pretty good for me. I ran it through my vaccum line to clean out the engine and I put some in the fuel tank and engine oil.
The best thing to do is to explain what the problem is and how you arrived at it. Of course there will always be those customers who refuse to believe what you say for whatever reason.
The best thing to do is to try it and see what happens. Let us know.
check your timing belt
What other symptoms are you having? Did you check the battery?
Sometimes when it rains, mine will squeal. I used that belt spray stuff and it works pretty good, but sometimes you just have to change the belt.

My 99 civic had an exhaust smell on the inside. At first I couldn’t find any visible leaks. Then I removed the number one oxygen sensor and was able to find a big crack in it that was covered by that sensor.
I would do some simple things. Change the plugs, air filter. Check the PCV valve. It might be clogged. And try higher grade octane.

Really? Even though they found metal chips in the engine? Go figure. Better keep documentation of everything done so far.
Yeah, and if you can get some pictures or video that would be great.
