Updates:
1. Brake lights have not got stuck on since replacing the switch (have no been able to see if the 703 code disappeared)
2. I disconnected the Transmission Interlock Solenoid and I no longer have any issues getting out of park (although I recognize this is just a band-aid fix)
i just find it funny that all these components that share very similar jobs, (telling the PCM what controls you are using.) have all popped up as codes at once.
definitely, that’s why I’m hoping someone here can connect the dots
Thanks for the help guys.
It was indeed the switch. I didn’t even need to replace it, I just opened it up and cleaned the contacts with some rubbing alcohol and Q-tips B) .September 15, 2015 at 2:54 am in reply to: Wild electrical issues.. help [descriptive] #839091I actually came to the realization that my battery may have fried after riding around with a dead alternator. I just assumed that when I charged it overnight it would be able to start the car, but that is most likely not the case. I will have it tested and find out.
I suspect that all the crazy electrical issues are just the result of a weak battery. I also read that the blinkers are often the first thing to go when a battery is dying, which would explain so much.- AuthorReplies
