Thanks for yourhey guys,
When to the garage earlier today and he found the problems. There was a PO106 error code. He checked around and found a small hose that was loose behind the engine (for barometric pressure or something). The noise when driving is caused by a bad wheel bearing.
thanks for all your input guys!
Hardest job i had done before was a suspension change. Dunno why but it seems easy now. Funny how my coworkers think its weird that a computer tech likes to work on cars…..
Another thing about the kit i installed, the splines on the pressure plate were a little bigger on the new one. does it change something?
Just checked if something got caught between engine and transmission and everything looks fine. i called a garage and will go there to get the check engine code. I’ll put the diagnostic here in case it may help someone with a similar problem. I also noticed a sound coming from under the hood when driving. its like when u spin a bicycle wheel and press something on its side as its running. Kind of….
I just remembered something that might help. When my stepfather (who helped me change the clutch) installed the clutch disk and pressure plate, i think i saw something move like 5 inches (turn) behind that, like a gear around the flywheel as he was trying to fit the bolts in. Could this be the cause of my problem?
Heres a link of the gears in talking about:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6e/Integra_GSR_Flywheel.jpg/220px-Integra_GSR_Flywheel.jpg
Hi,
Yes i think you call that ”misfire”. Like when you have dirty sparkplugs. The car has no problem shifting. No noise.
I will try to find an autopart to get the error code out and post it.
Thanks for your answers guys! -
