ok. I am still waiting on the on the proper tools to get the bolt off the pulley. I have a question, a friend of mine came by and tried to help me brake the bolt loose and by accident he turned the engine bolt clockwise, but not by much, like maybe a inch or 2. Maybe less. The engine is only supposed to turn counter clockwise which it still does so i know the internals are OK but did that throw my timing off? Will i have to make sure the engine is in cylinder 1 when i start the engine?
i will let yall know. if i try tightening it and it doesn’t do anything then what would the worst case scenario be. I do have a replacement pulley that a friend gave me from one of his many cb7s he owns that he keeps around for spare parts for his own. Would it be a good idea to replace the pulley? I returned the belts to auto zone in exchange for new ones, i just have to wait on buying the pump. Do not have the money at the moment. Should i just go to the salvage yard to get one, or will it just fail like this one cause its old to.
i just noticed that the crank pulley bolt is spinning but not the pulley,
oil level is fine. The power steering pump is leaking from the metal line that runs to it. It leaked all over the belts. Also the pvc valve was leaking out oil badly and got all over the belts as well.
When i get to about 3000 rpm,the rattling clanking sound goes away. It fan be heard at idle speed all the way up to about 3000 rpm then it stops.
The belts are loose to. I tried adjusting the tension and it worked but the belts stopped spinning again 2 minutes later. The noise seems to be coming from my power steering pump.
The power steering is full but is leaking and the oil levels are on point. The car has not lost its power. The engine itself is running fine from what i can tell.
The sound starts up when the engine turns over and is running. I cant hear the sound while the car is cranking.IS it possible that the oil leak i had and the power steering pump leak that leaked all over the belts and caused them to stretch out to where they do not stay tight anymore?
i am confused. There is a sensor right on the thermostat housing. Is that not the fan switch? If it is then i replaced that one when i changed the thermostat.
i thought the sensor that is in front on top of my radiator was my ECT, what sensor is that then?i am confused. There is a sensor right on the thermostat housing. Is that not the fan switch? If it is then i replaced that one when i changed the thermostat.

i jumped the one on the bottom by the radiator and the one that is plugged up the to the switch on the thermostat housing

OK i bought a multi meter How do i check the voltage. What do i plug the black and red wire things on the Multi meter to? The fans plugs them selves or the connections they connect to. I am a new at using one of these things,
