Ok I received my service manual today.

My fuel pressure is within tolerance.

THE ENGINE SEEMS TO RUN PERFECTLY WHEN I CAN GET IT STARTED

Let’s do it again, new plan of attack

I will first drain the gas, put fresh, check the plugs and coils this vehicle does not have a distributor…but I don’t know if that means there is no ignition coil( I am a rookie)

this time I guess I will check the injectors, U do this by listening to them?

And my inertia switch, which if I understand it correctly when it is released it applies pressure to the contact to open the circuit, it then has a reset button which is spring loaded and allows the switch to recoil allowing for the circuit to close is that correct?

I do have an exhaust gasket that is missing but I have the manifold mated to the block incase that might have something to do with the no start.

I feel like I am sooo close but I am failing to do something small

Also a friend of mine told me a story of a truck that had a sensor that was bad and wouldn’t let it run, what kind of sensor would that be?

I checked the alternator it was putting out 13.8v, though when I did the ground side test it seemed high in comparison to your video it was 0.08 in your video it said it shouldn’t be higher than 0.02,or maybe it was .2 I will have to watch again.

But I drove it again to “verify the complaint” and what I noticed is when stopped it jumping out of first to second gear.

I was able to start it again, it ran well for 15 minutes, ran less well then I pushed the gas and it died, wouldn’t start.

I have continued this thread under a different post as the symptoms have changed.

So if I can get it started again, leave the fuel gauge hooked up to see if pressure stays when it stalls out?

you know that was a very good idea, and at some point somebody had been messing with that switch, indicating that this may have been an issue previously.

I guess I can check the circuit and see

I cannot find a removable fuel filter

I am going to check the new brake switch though the brake lights are working

I tried to upload a video of it running but could not get the site to respond, I am just as ignorant about technology as mechanics, so if someone could help me on to be able to upload I would appreciate it
