What I meant was if the jar doesn’t fill up very quickly or not at all, then how would I go about diagnosing the problem from there.
“some of the older fuel pumps were driven by a special lobe on the camshaft which works a pump lever up and down to pump gas.”
Maybe a better way to put it would be, if there are no obstructions in the fuel lines and the pump is not pumping well enough or not at all, how would I go about determining why it was not pumping enough or at all?
So if we find the fuel pressure to be low on this old car(without an electric fuel pump), how would we go about diagnosing the problem

ok I was able to check the kv output from the coils… I had 10kv on each
I need to find out where I would find the spec output for each coil as Eric thought that it would probably be no less than 40kv, but it would not give me 40kv on any coils
One coil was unable to do 10kv I disassembled and reassembled the spring making sure it had good connectivity it gave me 10kv but the spark was much less than the others, I threw it away
Battery was at 12.5v when I started, charged it and started again to eliminate that variable.
WHERE DO I FIND THE SPEC. voltage FOR THE COILS?

Cars sure can be difficult and frustrating and at this point Ican only imagine the rewarding feeling you guys get when you solve the puzzle. I have had to work a bit extra the last two weeks so Ihaven’t had time to work on the navigator. There are still some questions from earlier posts that I haven’t answered yet if you would like to check them out…Thanks for all of your help so far, I will keep you posted

I would say that it fixed, I drove for 3 hours yesterday A/C on, no water.
In answer to the post of about the vacuum, I don’t see any problem with that if there is enough suction. Eric recommends low air pressure.
I used air first, then because I don’t have any carpet in this vehicle I decided to use the water hose and this did show me that the drain hose was draining.
Someone else told me that it could possibly be a case that was cracked but I don’t have what case they were speaking of.
Hope this helps, good luck
