might sound silly but have you checked to make sure you have the belt installed correctly? if so maybe messing with the tension arm might help some, I would just move the tensioner back and forth a few times.

There are two screws in the rotor that were seized up and I could not remove. So I decided to try and find the exact replacement screws so I could drill them and easy out them. When I got to the auto store and started asking questions about those screws and getting replacements I was told that I coild just drill the heads off and sand the shanks down and leave it like that and just put the new rotor back on. well I did this and seems to be no problem as of yet. So what is it that those two screws are originally there to hold and should I expect any malfunction due to the shade tree mechanics I performed?

update here, have fixed the issue with it not starting when wet, the connection just needed a massive cleaning, then I slathered Vaseline on the terminals when reinstalled. Starts every time!
The Muffler fell off and I have has that repaired. while the muffler was bad I couldn’t hear that clicking sound that started this thread. So its back again and very annoying. Some days the car runs like a dream and is fun as hell to speed out through second into third in that beast. Its just that some days its draughy. Another symptom is when the car is started for the first time off the day it will rough idle up and down quite a few rpm but if turn the air conditioner on it will stop doing that and idle proper. So what needs adjusted to make it idle proper without using the AC? Thanks for any help this 5spd 94 Honda is a blast to be my daily driver.

a good note on tis job is to have one of those special skinny tourque arm bars to remove the belt and reinstall, lmao, I did it with a cargo strap put behind it and pulled the tension off enough to get the job done. I saw one the other day at a local hardware store and was pretty blown away, I wondered why it was engineered so close to the bottom of the wheel well, but that tool would have saved a lot of busted knuckles

wanted to update everything that has went on with the little Honda that I have picked up and want to try to keep it running as peak as possible. I have put a muffler back on now and some of the exhaust pipe that had rusted thru. So it sounds a lot better now, you don’t have to yell at the person beside you when your doing 60 down the highway. I cleaned all the posts and put some Vaseline on them that fixed that problem with it not starting on wet morings, reckon moisture was keeping it from getting proper amps to the fuel pump I believe. Have replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders, they both had started leaking on me. Anyhow like I said I just wanted to update what was going on to date with the little Honda project. Oh yeah, the back brakes are completely jacked up so I need to make that the next fix, so im sure ill see you again soon for questions on that.

Go out to leave this morning and the Honda wouldn’t start. It rained all night and this is the third time this has happened after a rainy night. The car cranks but makes no attempt to fire. There is no odor of fuel either. I’m thinking it has to be something electrical, it only does it when it rains all night, thinking moisture is getting in a relay or just a wire bundle connector and interrupting the current to something like the fuel pump or the distributor. Any ideas guys?

Now the muffler has fallen off the car. The check engine light that was on when I bought the car went off but came back on after about the third drive out in it. Im not thinking I should be to worried about driving it still. Hey at least now the exhaust is so loud I am not annoyed by listening to that whirring, clicking, winding noise I was being drove insane with before this.

so is going and having it welded back on the appropriate thing to do, verses maybe some affordable aftermarket exhaust to replace it from the headers all the way back?
