Just got off the phone with a Ford dealer. The part is no longer available. It had a 10 yr usage on Temps and Topaz from 84-94 so I am SOL!!

They are not built in. If they were I wouldn’t be having the problems. When my son took the old MC off to get a replacement the guy at the parts place told him they were one way valves and he needed to put them on the new MC.

I had to build new lines for the rear brakes, from the MC. I also had to buy an adapter for the line closest to the firewall because the port was larger than 3/8.

I can find racing valves that fit a mustang for around 16$. Since I have no clue what those are or what they do I have doubts about installing them.

          I have 3 choices here:

          1. Block the rear lines completely and just use the front brakes.

          2. Put in a totally different Proportioning valve that attaches somewhere under the car or

          3. See if I can find the actual valves at a Ford/Mercury dealership

The only one that really looks doable is #1

I have looked for the Pressure control valves online Part number 28091

          Thanks!!

I talked to the repair shop and found out that what I thought was an actual bill was an estimate. So I am no longer a lioness!! 🙂 She is talking to ins co now.

Forgot to tell you that she bent the steering knuckle, the lower control arm, possibly the left strut, the inner tie rods and all the connecting parts he doesn’t thin that the half shafts are bad.

              Will keep you updated!!

              Thanks!!

you will need to follow the line were it goes until the
                  break is found

I KNOW where the leak is..the hose is NOT connected..it just ENDS! The hose I am speaking about is located on the drivers side going back toward the back of the van. It is just laying on the frame not going ANYWHERE! I can get my hand in the area and have been able to hold the hose in my hand. I can NOT feel the other part of the hose. Does anybody have a diagram of how the wiper hoses are laid out under/behind the engine?

I am seriously begining to think that my mechanic screwed this up. When I took the van in to have the heater pipes replaced [at a cost of $680.00] the wiper fluid worked and now it doesn’t. At first I thought they left the motor unplugged, but it is working. The rear washer works! I pumped 1/2 gallon of washer fluid on the ground under my van!

                  Thanks!!

So what are these transmissions? If I can identify them, as the ones I need then I will get them. Otherwise, I will let the owner know what he actually has, so he can sell them.

                        Thanks!!

                            Hi college man,
I live in a rural area and am fearful of driving the van very far. Should I just continue to drive it until the transmission quits? Actually, it will be my 17 y/o son who will be driving it.

The tranny was already slipping when the ‘wonder mechanic’ put the cleaner in the tranny. So I can assume that the trainny is shot.

The trannys I am looking at will cost $100.00 for both.

I just need to know if I can power flush the radiator and the transmission cooler and if so can you give me step by step instructions?

Like I said earlier, The entire cooling system has been repaired, EXCEPT for the read heater core. He bypassed it because there was anitfreeze leaking from the rear bumper!!

                            Thanks again
