Thank you College man. I found the problem some time ago but i have the time now to share my findings.
The problem was in the light switch inside the rear door lock switch. I found the entire schematics for a later MY Ford Focus (for the facelifted version) but the colors of the switch matched perfectly with the ones i had on my rear door.
So, there are 4 wires (4 pins). Pin 4 is hot at all times (12V) and pin 2 grounds the light circuit when the door is opened. I used my multimeter and crossed the 4 and 2 pins from the harness and ….voila! Bulb lighted immediately. So the is a ground perhaps inside the light switch which cannot be opened and repaired.
Finally i used a LED bulb to light my trunk. Not a perfect solution but it’s cheaper than getting a new rear door lock switch.Entire Schematics concerns MY 2010 Euro spec so if anyone is interested, i can email him a copy.
Thanks for you help guys, much appreciated!
Ok… I’ll locate the 2 wires from the hatch switch to the bulb and jiggle them and see what happens.
Perhaps there is a short (or something wrong) inside the switch…I’ll keep you updated.
Thank you College man. Can you be more specific? Switch? Meaning?
Hey Apostolis! Long time no see!
What happened to that Clio? Did you come up to a solution with that misfire problem?
And the most important thing… Did you find a honest garage in Athens to make the diagnosis properly BEFORE anyone changing ALL those parts?Hey Apostolis! Long time no see!
