so if i bring ref voltage down the gauge should come down with it and if so i have an open circuit?

i have unplugged the sensor with no change and tomorrow i will try adding ground to the sensor

sorry i didnt see that you only swapped the plugs not the injectors

if you swapped the injector and your problem moved with it you have a bad injector
