Career firefighter or Paid EMT
been a firefighter/EMR in CT for almost four years and its about the only line of work other than autmotive that i have a ton of passion for. But unfortunately jobs as a career FF are scare and being an emt pays poorly.Wrenching has always been my passion, I was never the kid to have the new electronics or video games, i always had minibikes and dirt bikes and always wanted to have tools. And now that i have the oppurtunity to obtain a formal education to become a diesel tech I will be pursuing that career, Grew up around trucks because my dad always drove and spent a lot of time in a diesel shop with my dads best friend who was like an uncle. cant really see my self doing anything that doesnt involve working on something.

Distributor or spark plug wires on 94-01 dodge rams, they stick the motor so far back in the engine bay that the distributor is right underneath the cowl and hard to get to. even thought there’s plenty of room to move the engine further forward. I personally own one of these trucks, love the truck, love the motor, love the performance, hate working on it. on the other hand doing anything on the front of the motor is wicked easy because you have nearly a foot of room to work as soon as you remove the fan cover. had to do the water pump and serpentine belt a few months ago and arguably the easiest i have ever done. Also doing valve cover gaskets on a 3.8 ford v6. Pretty much gotta remove the intake to get the valve covers off

Nitrile is the way to go! i am a firefighter and work for an ambulance company and have always had access to many different gloves. Mostly nitrile now as many people have latex allergies. personally i prefer the kimberly clark Purple dental gloves. Very thick and last most of the day, extremely tear and chemical resistant. quite expensive at close to $10 a box, but i have found i can take them off and put them back on multiple times no problem.

These are my boxes, The older set on the right are close to 20 years old, the top was my dads and the bottom was my uncles, both bought around the same time in the early 90’s. that set has 17 drawers but i have now outgrew it as i add more tools so i picked up the smaller set at sears on sale foe a good price. not the prettiest or the best, but Like everyone else seems to agree on its the tools that count. Might do a video tour and post it later
