      Hi,

I am sick of playing with this vehicle 1988 Honda prelude 4ws,i took the car to the local mechanic and requested he check the head gasket and test the coolant system, what he came up with was the head gasket is fine but the temp gauge in the car is not working and the cooling fan is not coming on.Can you tell me where the sensors are on the vehicle.

So what do you think is the problem, i would have done 50 miles in the car yesterday then when i got home and took my son to the gym which is only 5 miles down the road and home again then the bubbling started weird, for some reason i think i should change the thermostat?
          Your experience would be appreciated.

              Hi,

I have bleed the coolant system but the radiator fan did not start, can you explain what the next step would be to see if there is a problem with the fan motor?

The white smoke does clear after a few seconds.

                      Hi,

I replaced the radiator cap drained and replaced the coolant, opened the bleed screw and got the air out but topped the coolant up after the test run as it seemed low?

So all up this weekend I replaced 2 heater hoses that were leaking at the back of the engine and distributor seal, installed new oil and air filters, changed valve cover gasket and radiator cap. I have checked all fuses to see why the cooling fans weren’t working but have come to a stop. Again it is blowing white smoke?

I will have to get a mechanic to look at the fan circuit and A/C not working.

                                  Hi,

I have the valve cover off at the moment and waiting on parts, will replace the radiator cap and bleed the cooling system hopefully that’s the problem.
