More than likely the engine is flooded had this problem in alaska when people forgot to plug thier cars in try 1 of 2 things 1 hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor before cranking the car and then start cranking the car as you hold the accelerator all the way to the floor do this for about 30 sec that should keep the injectors off or you can pull the fuel pump fuse or relay and crank for 30 sec in extreme cases ive had to remove the spark plugs but prob not neccessary. Make sure the temps are higher than -30 as well preferably in a garage
And one more thing to add to karls post if you replaced the trans filter make sure it was good and tight because if its loose the trans will suck air instead of fluid i see that problem alot and the vehicle wont move

I agree with toyotakarl you need to atleast obtain a cheap test light and check all your fuses especially your main fuse as stated above…. jumping a vehicle the wrong way bad things can happen hopefully a couple fuses are the only problem

like these guys have stated perform a coolant flush and get that coolant healthy again then check the basics plugs fuel delivery ect. and yes a fautly coolant temp sensor can give you a false reading but with the heater output blowing cold chances are that’s not the case. coolant level and coolant condition are probably the cause of your overheat.

If its not your alternator you have a short to ground somewhere in that circuit, does the fuse blow as soon as you put it in? I know you said the next day when they found it the first time i was just curious if it blows right away or not.
