The car has 136 701 miles on it . the exhaust smoke is normal . only time there is lots of smoke coming out is when i mash my foot down .

Thanks Phil . i have been using my Merc for a few days now . but my tires do need be replaced . Once they have been replaced i will see what the results are . I definatly think the tires have got flats spots .

well on top the problems with the car not heating up like it should . It now has a new problem . when the car is idleing the engine starts to vibrate hectic . i suspect the damping pulley has decided to break . or there is an engine mount that has broken . all of this started the morning after i drove the car a very bad dirt road .

I realy think the thermostat is jammed open . when i get the car onto a highway once it has warmed to normal temp after a bit of driving the temp will start dropping down into in the blue zone again. Tomorrow i will try and see why the turbo is leaking fumes and while in there might as well take a look at the thermo . Thanks for the help
