Little update for year 2015 of my Benz.
General service was performed along with re wiring the spark plug wires and that was it for unplanned maintenance.
Unfortunatly the car suffered damage after hitting a massive rock on the highway at 120 km/h. Had to replace steering dampner, two tires, repair a rim,get a tie rod fixed. There is still a a small shake in the steering wheel when going around a corner on the highway no idea what that is.The whole rock in the road thing is thing that happens here in South Africa they lay rocks accros the highway so people drive over them casuing damage to the car and then they stop and when you stop they will mug you or steal the car there has been one time where people where killed as a result of this crime. Fortunatly i knew what was happening and kept driving for 15km to the nearest place of safety not knowing what damage was done to my benz all i know is 20km/h was the max speed i could do.
Update on the BMW 330D, The problems started rolling in. Oil leaks, Electrical faults, Interior falling apart, Turbo leaking again, And black smoke when engine is under pressure. Landed up trading the old girl in. Sad that car had the best handling i have ever felt and the power from that 3 liter turbo diesel was just pure amazing even though it had a leak. But maintence was starting to cause big bills and consume to much time.
The problem has been resolved, I am so happy it took almost two years and i fixed it.
Mercedes the reason why this car is so comfy to drive is because Mercedes shove as many bushing as possible everywhere there are over 30 of the buggers on the rear end of the car, and the problem was these bushing have dried out and shrunk a bit causing some movement of the rear suspension components. The solution was not to replace them all as this would cost way to much. My uncle showed a trick with brake fuid and diesel as to how it resores bushing and makes them swell up. Simply re apply every 6 months and the shake is gone and the ride is smooth. Thank you for all the inputThe water pump has moving blades almost like a proper of a boat to make the water water move around. Now when I say the pump is getting tired I mean those blades could be wearing down and not moving as much water as It did before

They are great cars . i would not trade her in for a new merc . But i agree on that they finiky to work on and can be expensive to repair . Recently i had tyo track down a new cam shaft position sensor and the only place i found on was on a wreck . guy charged 400 rand ( around 40 us dollars) for the sensor where as mercedes wanted wanted R2000 for it and 6 weeks to import to South Africa . But its awesome ot meet another passionate w202 owner

recently the car has been vibrating very badly on pull off . Went to my new mechanic to see what he may think it is . Together we came to the conclusion that it was either the center bearing on the propshaft or the stabilizer arm . Turns out it was the center bearing . Been replaced and the car is once again smooth just like a old Benz should be .
