Well the first time I took it out both front brakes started smoking and got really hot. How would I check for a collapsed line?
I did not bleed the brakes. I did not have anybody that could help. This couldn’t cause this could it?
Yes,I checked those as well everything is moving freely. I replaced the the slide pin rubber covers as well when I did the brakes the first time and used lube on them. I think i put enough on. Should they stick out when properly lubed up?
Ok, I took the front apart again and brushed off all remaining rust. Put the clips back in and lubed them up. The pads now move freely but do not rattle around. Still the front brakes grab and do not seem to release. Could I have a bad caliper?

I did use all new clips and hardware. I just did not use any lube. The pads were tough getting in place. I will take it apart again tomorrow and try some lube. Thank you for your help.
