keep tightening it until it clicks. if it keeps on going then the thread is loss.
according to my experience before is that the vehicle has experienced extreme overheating. that’s why i retorque the head bolts (with the engine cold) and 3 headbolts can’t be tightened to a specified torque because the thread is loss.so i pull-down the cylinder head and check for warpage the results was bad, so we send it to the machine shop for resurfacing and also the block for re-threading.
Honestly I really hate cars that smells. I lose the thrill to work cars with an unpleasant smell, shabby is acceptable but odor is the worse.
“When you see something ugly you can close your eyes or pretend you don’t see anything, but when you smell something bad can you stop breathing so you won’t smell anything?”
I’ve done this a couple of times. But the reason why I asked is that I’m having doubts, because when I asked some friends of mine from Honda (the Company I used to work before) is that the bolt itself is highly tightened and it is possible that it could result a lost thread or maybe when things gone worse I could even damage the block when it cracks and they even told me that they have to heat the bolt first before removing it.
